NDIS Physiotherapy Exercise Program: Patient Profile
Here we have one of our regular NDIS patients who visits us at our clinic in Parramatta.
Age: 55 year old male
Diagnosis: Stroke, affecting right upper limb, weakness in upper limb >> lower limb
NDIS Goal: To increase his lower body strength to allow him to walk 30 minutes / day at the local park with his support workers.
NDIS Exercise Program:
Exercise 1: Sit to Stands from a chair
Aim for 10 repetitions
And if you are up to it, aim for 2 or 3 sets
** Please Note: Speak with your NDIS health professional before commencing these exercises at home
** Always have supervision when exercising
Exercise 2: Heel raisers
Stand with support from a wall
Raise your heels
Aim for 10 repetitions
And if you are up to it, aim for 2 or 3 sets

Exercise 3: Step up and down
Stand with support from a wall
Step up and down at a comfortable pace
Aim for 10 repetitions
