What do I do when I have a motor vehicle injury?
It is always important to see your medical practitioner as soon as possible after an accident. Even if you do not feel sore, stiff or injured. It is common for pain and other symptoms to start after 24-48 hours of an accident. Don’t be surprised if your symptoms worsen within the first week. It’s how the body deals with sudden trauma to the body. Your doctor may also ask you to get scans done to rule out any serious injury.
Step 1: Exchange details with the driver of the other car
Step 2: Get home safely or get to a hospital if your injuries were more severe
Step 3: Call the Police help line and ask for an event number
Step 4: Go see your GP
Step 5: Get in touch with your CTP insurer and lodge a claim
Step 6: Make a booking with us!
If any of the above needs clarification, feel free to give us a call at any time and we will guide you through the process.
