Physiotherapy Professionals Parramatta – 12 Ada Street Harris Park NSW 2150 – Parramatta Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy in Parramatta:

Physiotherapy Professionals Parramatta was established in 2016 with the local Parramatta community in mind. We had the intention of creating a Physiotherapy Clinic that would combine the latest developments in Physiotherapy evidence based practice and combining it with traditional Physiotherapy principles. We believe in providing hands on Physiotherapy treatments along with exercise based rehabilitation. We believe this is the best combination to achieve successful patient outcomes. Our goal as Physiotherapists is to get you pain-free and restore or maintain your optimal body function, using evidence-based, non-invasive methods. Whether you need Physiotherapy due to a work injury, a motor vehicle accident, a sports injury or to get you back on your feet after surgery, we are here to help you.

  • Advanced Physiotherapy: Advanced and modern manual therapy and hands on techniques.
  • 1 on 1 Treatment in private treatment rooms: We listen and aim to help achieve your goals.
  • Proper Diagnosis: We quickly find the root of the problem

What do we treat?

  • Head & Neck: Treatment for headaches, a pinched nerve, acute wry neck, or a sports-related injury, Physiotherapy can provide you with manual therapy, hands on techniques and exercises to help alleviate your pain.
  • Shoulder – Shoulder injuries can occur through sports, work related overuse injury, car accident or direct trauma
  • Arm & Hand – If you’ve broken your fall with your hands, or played a bad ball during a racket game, you may experience some hand, arm pain or even a fracture
  • Back – Back pain is one of the most common injuries seen in a Physiotherapy clinic. Back pain can also be extremely debilitating pain that can make even the simplest tasks such as getting up or walking very painful.
  • Hip & Groin – Hip surgery prehab and rehabilitation post surgery
  • Knee – Knee injuries are amongst the most common sporting injuries.
  • Ankle – Ankle sprain rehab

Parramatta Physiotherapy: Benefits of Treatment

  1. Alleviate pain – Patients suffering from pain resulting from musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, or injury-related aches can benefit from a number of treatments offered at our Parramatta Physiotherapy clinic.
  2. Surgery – Although a variety of conditions and injuries may require you to have surgery, Physiotherapy is a great way to manage your condition before and after surgery. Physiotherapists can help you manage your pain and help your body to heal.
  3. Staying fit at all ages
  4. Support recovery – Whenever you undergo surgery on a joint or bone, you will need help to get you back to functioning properly. Patients who have had major orthopaedic surgery can benefit from Physiotherapy services. Your Physiotherapist will work with you from the moment you’ve had surgery up until you are back to your pre injury levels.
  5. Management and prevention of sports injuries – Injuries obtained through sports are notorious for taking a toll on your ability to perform athletically. Whether it’s an ACL tear, hamstring strain, or golfer’s elbow, we are here to help you fix the symptomatic problem and give you exercises you need to follow to prevent further injury.
A car accident is a traumatic event both physically and mentally. If you’ve experienced even a minor injury, pain, and discomfort caused by it, that can make getting back to regular life challenging. Many people try to “shake it off”, and get back to their usual tasks without taking proper care or focusing on the recovery period. However, our bodies need time to recover.

Motor Vehicle Accident Rehabilitation

  • Recovery time after a motor vehicle accident varies person to person. It depends on what part of the body is affected, it also depends on the severity of the injury and how quickly your body copes with it. The time can take from a couple of weeks to a few months.
  • There are other factors which can vary your recovery time, such as your general health and how quickly after the accident you got help and treatment. Your lifestyle, age, and how much time off work you’ve got to heal also play a role.
  • It’s also important to remember that after the accident, you should always consult your doctor. Even if you think that your injuries are minor, a professional will give you a proper exam and help you with recovery plans and execution.
  • Depending on your injury, your doctor may send you for further scans to ensure there is no internal damage such as fractures or internal bleeds.
  • Your doctor also may refer you to see a specialist.
  • Regardless of the severity of the injury, your doctor will send you to start Physiotherapy early

Use ice and heat

  • Even if you didn’t sustain serious injuries, your muscles often feel sore after a car accident because of the impact, stress, and tension.
  • Use ice on the sore or injured body parts to control pain and reduce swelling and inflammation.
  • Use heat over tight and spasmed muscles

Pain medication

  • Your doctor may prescribe you pain medication to assist you with your symptoms

Motor Vehicle Accident Physiotherapy

  • Can help speed up the process and lower the risk of chronic ailments later on
  • Hands on therapy is important after a motor vehicle accident
